A little about me!

Yuma
Hello there! I’m Yuma.
Born in Mexico to a Swiss-Mexican family, I’ve since made Switzerland my home,. I’m 19 and currently studying at Eikon School of Applied Arts in Fribourg, where I’m developing my skills and aspiring to work in the field of graphic design.
For me, design goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about creating visuals that evoke emotions and tell a story. I believe creativity shines when it’s playful, which is why I bring that philosophy into every project. Whether digital or hands-on, I love experimenting with bold colors and different techniques. When we truly understand the needs and emotions of an audience, we can connect on a deeper level, creating experiences that genuinely resonate.

I find inspiration everywhere—from music and film to the everyday details most people overlook. I’m especially drawn to projects that mix different mediums and push creative boundaries. My goal is to keep learning, evolving, and finding new ways to bring ideas to life.

Through my portfolio, I hope to share not just my work, but also my personality and passion.

My Hobbies

Over the past few years, dance has become so special to me—much more than just movement. It has helped me find my confidence and connect with others in ways words never could. Fashion is another passion of mine. I love exploring different aesthetics, although I have a particular weakness for patterns and striking stripes. It’s not just about what I wear—it’s about how style shapes my identity and my mood. My vinyl collection has become a cherished part of my world. Each record represents a moment in time and a feeling. There’s something deeply satisfying about selecting an album, placing the needle, and letting the sound fill the space.

These aren’t just hobbies; they’re the languages I use to express myself.
